猫奶奶是一个从手作鱼灯开始的小品牌。
我们制作微型鱼灯、鱼灯材料包与手作体验产品，希望把传统鱼灯从节庆和大型灯会里，带回到日常生活的桌面、书架和手心里。
每一盏鱼灯都从骨架开始。弯铁丝、扎结构、裱纸、上色、装灯——过程很慢，也很实在。
它不是流水线上的装饰品，而是一件可以被理解、被制作、被带回家的小小手艺。

GrannyCat is a small craft brand that began with handmade fish lanterns.
We create miniature fish lanterns, DIY kits, and hands-on craft products that bring traditional fish lanterns out of large festivals and into everyday spaces — onto desks, shelves, and into people’s hands.
Each lantern begins with a frame. Wire bending, structure tying, paper wrapping, painting, and lighting — every step is slow, tactile, and intentional.
It is not a mass-produced decoration, but a small craft object that can be understood, made, and brought home.

WHY FISH LANTERNS

为什么是鱼灯？

鱼，在东方文化里一直有很好的寓意。
它代表丰收、流动、自由、年年有余，也代表一种轻盈但有生命力的状态。

In Eastern culture, fish carry beautiful meanings.
They symbolize abundance, flow, freedom, prosperity, and a quiet kind of vitality.

THE NAME

猫奶奶，有点古怪，
也有点亲切。

“猫奶奶”不是一个很商业化的名字，更像一个会坐在窗边慢慢做东西的人：有一点老派，有一点任性，也有一点温柔。

“GrannyCat” is not a polished corporate name. It feels like someone sitting by the window, quietly making things — a little old-fashioned, a little stubborn, and a little gentle.

我们希望这个品牌保留这种气质：不急着变大，不急着讨好所有人，而是认真把一件小东西做到有味道。

Not rushing to become bigger, not trying to please everyone, but making small things with real character.
